Missing Cat Tale

Musya, a resident of the Sadgorad Zoo, has been one of the most beloved cats in the zoo. Although she loved moving around the zoo and enjoying herself, the employees of the zoo kept a strict lookout for her.

Even if she was seen missing for a few minutes or so, the employees started looking for her. They were worried that Musya had wandered away and would get lost or worse become prey to the bigger animals. Sure enough, as soon as Musya was reported missing, there was a hunt for her.

One of a Kind

Although Musya became an integral part of the zoo, she had entered the zoo, by mistake. Alice was the worker in the zoo who found the cat floundering in the snow. Musya looked like a black speck in the white snow but soon realized that the black speck was a furry cute little cat.

Soon, the cat became a big part of the zoo as everyone, loved the cute little animal who soon became a pet. The adorable creature looked like she was already part of the big happy zoo family.

As soon as Alice noticed the black furry little cat, she nestled it in her jacket and started looking for vets in the vicinity. The cat fought every ounce of her strength to brave the harsh weather and the vets did the rest.

The right care can certainly perform miracles. The vets were professionals who did their best to keep the cat alive and well. Thankfully, they were successful in their endeavors, and soon the frail cat turned into a full-grown cat who was the apple of everyone's eyes at the zoo.

Everyone's Favorite Pet

Everyone heaved a huge sigh of relief when the cat was able to survive. The kitty soon was gaining strength and became a cute little furball. Of course, it helped that she was a fighter.

The zoo staff ensured that she was kept safe and sound in the zoo. But they also knew that the zoo may not be the right place for the kitty. Also, it was so easy to get lost in the zoo since it was so large and spacious. What with the big animals making their presence felt in the zoo, the kitty was certainly not safe there.

Taking Care of Musya

Since the time, Alice had discovered her feline friend, she had almost taken the cat under her wing. She even took the cat for long walks. But to ensure her safety, she was kept on a leash.

The only fear that was playing constantly in the back of the employee's mind is that she would find her way toward one of the enclosers. So, they continued to play the self-appointed chaperone for dead old Musya. We don't think Musya complained either. The routine continued for almost a year. The bond between MNusya and the zoo employees was rock solid.

Sneak Out On Your Own

After Musya was in the zoo employees' company for almost a year the cat started behaving like, well just a cat and found ways to sneak out. Although, it was fun for the cat to roam around and find her around the zoo.

As soon as word spread around that the cat was missing everyone feared the worst. Alice started searching for the enclosures, but she was nowhere to be found. The employees all but pressed the panic button. They still searched long and hard with hope and fear jostling for primacy in their hearts.

Return of Musya

It was a great relief when Musya returned to the zoo on her own after just a couple of days. She announced her arrival by pawing at the door. It goes without saying when the cat was found safe and sound, things weren't the same as they were before.

The zoo employees were a little worried, about what happened to their beloved pet. Musya always had such friendly behavior and loved to mingle with her human friends. But after her return, something seemed amiss. The zoo employees were eager to find out what had changed for Musya.

A Change in Musya

Once Musya was back at the zoo, the employees were surprised to see a change in her. Not only was she not in her usual chirpy self but has suddenly become more cranky than usual.

It was indeed very weird that Musya is suddenly behaving differently. She was known foe well-known for being sweet and playful, so this odd behavior on her part was a bit of a shocker for them. What could have happened to her? Well, they had to do some investigations to find out, what was bothering her.

What Happened to The Old Musya

Alice and the other employees at the zoo thought that there was almost a different cat in place of Musya. The cat seemed too fatigued and preferred to lie down instead of play with the others.

She was certainly not as playful as she was earlier. Her energy levels have been dropping every day. What could one think when a once-playful cat has changed into a now weak cat who was a shadow of her former self. The other employees put their heads together to find out what had affected Musya.
 

Not in The Room

Alice entered the staffroom one day to fetch a cup of tea. Her tea time also meant it was cuddle time with Musya. However, she was in for a shock when the room seemed empty. Musya had done her disappearing acts once again.

Alice started worrying again where could have Musya gone? She started calling Musya's name to no avail. Where could she have gone? A thousand thoughts crossed Alice's mind as she started to look for her. She decided to seek others' help. Hope she would find her sooner than later.

A Search For The Cat

However, this time it was a little different as the weather was really bad, which made things worse. There was a storm accompanied by thunder. The change of weather got the employees even more worried.

Their first thoughts were to get Musya to safety as soon as possible. All the employees started going here and there calling out Musyas's name. They didn't get any answering mews from Musya. This got them even more worried. What could have kept away their little pet? Musya was their very own adorable pet and nothing should happen to her.

A Challenging Search

The zoo was spread across acres of land which was one of the main hurdles to locating the cat. Not only were there many enclosures, but there were many parking spaces and cars.

The zoo was too large and easy for her to get lost. Although improbable, there were also chances of her going out of the zoo, which was even worrisome for them. They were racking their brains to find out what could have happened to their adorable pet when this happened. Something, that they never had thought of before.

Someone For Company

Alice was then frantically looking for Musya when she heard a noise. She was walking close to a lion’s enclosure when her eyes fell on Musya.

She was hiding in a bush, but Alice could find something prickly climbing up on Alice which worried her. Was Musya getting attacked by another creature? It certainly looked a scary sight when these prickly things started climbing up poor Musya's body. Musya's expression, however, gave nothing away. This baffled Alice, what is that prickly creature?

What a Surprise

Musya was cuddling four tiny kittens. The zoo employees were shocked at their wit's end to find out that Musya has delivered a baby kitten. They didn't even know that she was pregnant.

While this was certainly shocking, what was even more surprising was that apart from kittens, there was something else that was creeping up Musya's chest. Baby hedgehogs were climbing up Musya's pretty surprising chest. They were wondering exactly what could have happened? How could baby hedgehogs end up on Musya's chest? They simply had no clue.

Out of Harm's Way

When they saw the cat with its babies, they knew they had to grab a safe box to put the cat and its babies. One of the employees grabbed a blanket to put them in a safe place.

It was one of their top priorities to keep Musya in a safe and sound place. Alice then picked each of the kittens and hedgehog carefully and placed them in the box. Musya trusted Alice and let her pick each one of them to nestle onto her chest. Although the cat and her babies looked quite a sight, the zoo employees breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Off to The Vet

Alice decided that it was important for Musya to get checked by the vet. She took the cat with her kittens and the hedgehogs to the vet’s office. The vet was also surprised at the sight. How could the hedgehogs have landed on the cat's lap?

The vet did a thorough checkup on the cat and its babies and had a few things to say about Musya. He called Alice and talked to her about what should be done next. He also discussed whether the cat should be kept with the hedgehogs or not?

Putting Them Together

The vet had painstakingly separated the Musya from her kittens and hedgehogs, which Musya did not take too kindly. When she was alone, she quickly huddled all the babies together including the hedgehogs.

Musya kept the kittens and hedgehogs together to feed them duly. She was doing just like most mothers would do. As far as Musya was concerned taking care of her babies, whether it is kittens or hedgehogs, was her priority and she intended to do just that. She was not letting anyone come between her and her babies.

Both Kittens and Hedgehogs

It was evident from Musya’s behavior that she wanted to be the mother of both the kittens and hedgehogs. Although Alice was super happy to see Musya again, she didn’t think it was a great idea for Musya to have both kittens and hedgehog together.

The kittens would get hurt by the hedgehog's prickly ends. However, it would be difficult to separate the two and Musya would show her anger against them which she didn't want at all. So, what would be their next step? Well, she would have to consult with the vet and the other zoo employees to conclude.

Keeping The Animals Apart

Alice then decided to separate the kittens from the hedgehogs. However, the hedgehogs didn't take to bottle. This made Alice think that animals are very much alike each other.

However, it was certainly an odd situation to be as they were clueless about where did the hedgehogs come from. They made several conjectures to think how could the hedgehogs land with their pet kitten Musya. Nobody could come up with a viable option, although they did have long discussions about it. Somehow, despite racking their brains they still could not come up with any solution.

A Lawnmower Accident

Alice was most worried about the sudden occurrence of the hedgehogs came. Where was the mother of the hedgehogs? She suddenly remembered the lawnmower accident.

Maybe the hedgehogs were on their own before Musya thought of mothering them. While it was quite Noble of Musya to take care of the animals, Alice was wondering whether Musya would be able to take care of both the kittens and the hedgehogs. This litter was a little too big to take care of properly. Alice wondered how could she extend her support to Musya?

Mothering the Hedgehogs

Nobody could put a finger on the exact time and date when Musya had begun mothering the two hedgehogs. Did she start mothering the kittens first and then the hedgehogs or the opposite?

However, she looks like she is the perfect mother of the hedgehogs. That is the beauty of Musya, and of other animals like her who would come to the aid of animals in distress without giving it a second thought. This made the entire zoo staff create an enclosure for the family. This way the new family will be safe in the enclosure.

A Popular Peculiar Tale

This certainly seems to be an extremely peculiar tale that was trending as soon as it was shared by one and all.

What caught people's attention the most is the strange sight of the odd family, with the cat, the kittens, and the hedgehogs. Everyone found Musya's act, particularly selfless. The people regarded Musya as a caring mother who would stand up for her kids adopted or otherwise. This viral story continued to attract more and more eyeballs and people couldn't stop sharing this story with one and all, so moved were they by the story.

A Watchful Eye On The Kids

After the viral story made headlines, the newly formed life continued to thrive. The hedgehogs have now grown to their full potential. However, that does not mean by any standards that Musya would forget her little brood.

She continues to take good care of the hedgehogs just to check on them and find out whether they have been doing okay. Musya is certainly an incomparable and selfless cat-mom. Her constant support to the babies ensures they grow up strong and big. Musya also had support from the zoo employees who continued to rally around her.

A Cat Named Ronsika

Although this seems like a never-before-heard story, it isn't a new story. Stray incidents like this have been heard before. There was another cat called Rosinka, who grabbed headlines in Russia after she adopted a baby squirrel monkey.

Fyodor (the little monkey) was brought to the zoo by a zookeeper, and she rejected her young one. Selfless tales such as these prove how animals are the epitome of pure love and innocence. We guess humans can take a leaf or two out of their books. Yes, humans have so much to learn!

A Big Misconception

The poor cats have earned a bad reputation for not being good companions. However, this statement is not entirely true.

Cat owners think the world of their pets and why not, they have spent years with them to study them and know their character traits, and understand how cats can turn out to be the perfect pets. Stories such as these would stop these misconceptions from proliferating. We should spread these tales far and wide so that people get to know about the true nature of cats, or should we say the nicer parts of the cats.
